Marinedeck UK & Ireland was founded to share what we believe is the world’s best marine decking solution. Our founders have decades of experience in the marine industry. They saw a need for a tough, eco-friendly alternative to hardwood decks. When they found Marinedeck 2000 — a cork composite with a 30-year track record — they were impressed. It’s durable, long-lasting, and proven in marine projects around the world. They knew it was a product worth investing in — and bringing to the UK & Irish market.
First, we launched Eco Marine Deck, a hands-on fitting service based in Plymouth. Drawing on our decades of experience with both traditional and synthetic decking, we focused exclusively on installing Marinedeck 2000 across the southwest of England. As customer interest and demand surged, we recognised the need to broaden our distribution network and supply the product wholesale – empowering partners to manage their own installations Consequently, we founded Marinedeck UK & Ireland to extend our reach through new trade partnerships, certified installers, and a broader distribution network.
Today, we’re proud to be the official distributor of Marinedeck 2000 in the UK and Ireland. Backed by the fitting expertise of Eco Marine Deck, we’re building a trusted network of professionals who care about quality, sustainability, and doing things right.

The manufacturer of Marinedeck 2000 is a Dutch company called Stazo. The company was founded nearly one hundred years ago and started to develop its research into cork decking in the 1980s. After many years of effort and countless experiments they designed the perfect binding agent to compliment the natural properties of the granular cork. Their production method is also unique within the industry.
This product is the result of compression not the more common practice of extrusion (rolling out sheets). This means that the cork is compressed under high pressure into moulds which eliminates imperfections and air bubbles. The moulds are then cut to size. Once Stazo devised the perfect formula, they named it Marinedeck 2000 and that is the product that is still used and known today across the world.
