Product Questions

Marinedeck 2000 stands out for its durability, longevity, ease of maintenance and its sustainability. Made from renewable cork, it’s lighter than teak, highly resistant to saltwater, UV rays, mold, and stains, and requires minimal upkeep. Its non-slip surface, superior thermal and acoustic properties, and fire resistance ensure safety and comfort in all conditions. Unlike extruded cork products, it is manufactured using a high-compression technique, making it denser, stronger, and longer-lasting. Additionally, it is flexible, impact resistant and easy to install.

Unlike extruded (rolled) cork products, which can have air pockets and inconsistencies, Marinedeck 2000 is made using a high-compression technique.  The cork granules are compressed along with a specifically engineered binding agent which is what gives this product its outstanding qualites.  This process results in a denser, more durable material that is resistant to wear, water absorption, and surface damage.

Yes, Marinedeck 2000 is highly water-resistant, making it ideal for marine environments. It does not absorb water like traditional wood, reducing the risk of warping or rotting.
